INCENTIVE ON CONNECTIONS ENGAGEMENT (ICE)
The Incentive on Connections Engagement (ICE) encourages network operators to deliver a continually high level of service to major works connections customers.
ICE gives connections customers and key stakeholders the opportunity to contribute to our annual service improvement plans. Each year, we publish a detailed work plan of service improvement commitments. Our work plans are developed together with connections stakeholders and all our service improvement actions are derived from our their suggestions and feedback.
We work hard to understand the needs of our connections customers and to continually improve the service we provide. We encourage you to tell us what we do well and what we could be doing better. It is only through ongoing dialogue we can ensure we are fully meeting your expectations. In the first instance, please send any comments to ICE@northernpowergrid.com.

Generators told us that early visibility on the likely impact of transmission issues was key when considering a connection to our network. We responded by publishing information on transmission constraints and Mod Apps as part of the detailed datasheets that accompany our heat maps.

Local Authority representatives can book an appointment at one of our regular connections engagement sessions to discuss their pipeline of connections projects or longer-term plans with the right member of the Northern Powergrid team.
