NORTHERN POWERGRID WINS SILVER AWARD AT UK NATIONAL CONTACT CENTRE AWARDS

UK Conact Centre Awards - Lynne Silver.JPGNorthern Powergrid, the company responsible for delivering power to 8 million people across 3.9 million homes and business in the North East Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire, has won a Silver Award at the UK National Contact Centre Awards.

Lynne Papadimitriou, Northern Powergrid’s Customer Care Operations Manager, won the silver award in the Complaints Manager of the Year category for her dedication to going that extra mile for customers and quickly turning difficult situations into positive experiences for customers.

The Awards ceremony, which was a virtual affair this year due to the pandemic, was watched by Lynne from her living room: “I can’t tell you how excited I was watching the virtual ceremony at home. Winning the silver award for Complaints Manager of the Year is such an honour and while there couldn’t be the usual gala dinner this year, the virtual ceremony meant my family could watch the results being announced live from their homes too, which was fantastic. The award wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and commitment of my team and I’d like to thank them for their support.”

Chris Morris, Head of Customer Operations at Northern Powergrid, said: “We’re all extremely proud of the super work Lynne and her team do every day helping our customers and this award is well deserved recognition for their hard work. They have a substantial positive impact on how we support our customers, improving the whole experience for them.”

The UK National Contact Centre Awards took place on Monday 21 September as a virtual ceremony on YouTube and Facebook. You can watch a replay of the event on its website -ukcontactcentreawards.co.uk
